Jefferson Airplane - Surrealistic Pillow (1967)

Jefferson Airplane was an American rock band formed in San Francisco in 1965. A pioneer of the psychedelic rock movement, Jefferson Airplane was the first band from the San Francisco scene to achieve mainstream commercial and critical success. Surrealistic Pillow is the second album released in February 1967 for RCA Victor.

The Trip (1967)

The Trip is a drama released by American International Pictures shot on location in and around Los Angeles, including on top of Kirkwood in Laurel Canyon, Hollywood Hills, and near Big Sur, California in 1966. 
Paul Groves takes his first dose of LSD while experiencing the heartbreak and ambivalence of divorce from his beautiful but adulterous wife. He starts his trip with a "guide," John but runs away and abandons out of fear.

Monterey Pop Festival (1967)

The Monterey International Pop Music Festival was a three-day concert event held June 16 to June 18, 1967 at the Monterey County Fairgrounds in Monterey, California. 
It was notable as hosting the first major American appearances by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Who, and Eric Burdon & the New Animals as well as the first major public performances of Big Brother & the Holding Company (with Janis Joplin). It was also the first major performance by Otis Redding in front of a predominantly white audience.
The Monterey Pop Festival embodied the themes of California as a focal point for the counterculture and is generally regarded as one of the beginnings of the "Summer of Love" in 1967.

Pink Floyd - The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn (1967)

Pink Floyd were an English psychedelic and progressive rock band founded in the mid-sixties. The Piper at the Gates of Dawn is their debut album and the only one made under founding member Syd Barrett's leadership. The album was released in 1967 by EMI Records in the UK and Tower/Capitol Records in the US.
